Campsite Le Clos Auroy, with 4 stars, in the heart of the Auvergne, near the Puy de Dôme, is a camping from quality and offers you a warm and friendly welcome in a setting surrounded by water and mountains. Excellent comfort in a very pleasant environment. Our swimming pools at the water park, waterslides, bubble bath, children’s pool and many other fun water games are there to keep you entertained. For your comfort we also have our sanitary buildings that are heated and well kept clean. In addition, you can use the regular animation or have a social gathering at our (snack) bar. We hope to meet you soon at our 4 stars campsite Le Clos Auroy, in the department of the Puy-de-Dôme (63) in the beautiful Auvergne region.

The Chaîne des Puys and UNESCO

It’s official ! Since 02.07.18 the Chaine des Puys – Faille de Limagne is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. From the summit of the emblematic Puy de Dôme you will discover the 80 volcanoes of the Chaine des Puys alternating all eruptive forms. There is also a multitude of volcanoes outside the Chaine des Puys.

Discover our outdoor water park with heated swimming pools, a jacuzzi,waterslides, a children’s pool with a fountain and water games. Relax near thepool on the comfy chairs and enjoy the fitness facilities that are at your disposal. You can cool off in summer and relax in the heated outdoor swimming pools. All equipment is designed in a way that safety is guaranteedfor you and your children. Though everyone needs to stay alert and watch out for accidents.

The heated water park is built on two levels. The first elevated level houses the heated jacuzzi with its river, a heated paddling pool with a fountain, a large trampoline and fitness equipment. This level is decorated with rocks and a waterfall. All this is surrounded by natural vegetation. A traditional swimming pool and the waterslides are placed under the water park and this pool is heated as well. Everyone loves all pools for their temperature and good water quality!

We are committed to safety and water quality for you and your children. This, among other things, because of the recent placement of new regulatory protection around the water park. Toddlers can enjoy the children’s pool with play attributes, while older children can swim in the traditional swimming pool or play on the trampoline or simply soak up the sun on one of the many lounge chairs. Due to the special requirements on the use of the swimming pools it is not allowed to enter the pool with incorrect swimsuits, drinks, food etc.

Discover our outdoor water park with heated swimming pools, a jacuzzi, a children’s paddling pool with a fountain and water games. You can refresh in summer and relax in the heated outdoor swimming pools. Everything is designed in a way that safety is guaranteed for you and your children. Games, trampolines and fitness equipment are at your disposal by the pool.

Activities at and around the campsite

All sporting events will be shown as much as possible. So you won’t have to miss out on anything important. Most activities take place around the entrance of the campsite. In a circle of 50 metres, you will find a playground, two tennis courts and a jeux de boule pitch. And within a radius of 500 metres, you can enjoy the delights of fishing in a beautiful pond (day ticket is sold at the campsite). Finally, you can play golf at less than 1 kilometre distance from the campsite. At the campsite, we offer free activities too: trampolines, ping-pong tables, games, walks, and much more. Children can have fun together, thanks to the many new campsite attributes. Campsite Le Clos Auroy is the ideal place for families with young children (0-14 years) or without children out of season. Most of the activities are situated near the camp-site. Within 50 meters from the camp-site you will find a big playground for little children, two tennis-courts, a jeu-de-boule lane and a paddling-pool for children. A little bit further at a range of 500 meters from the camp-site, you will find a fishing-lake. There is also the possibility of canoeing as well as hang-gliding and parachute-jumping. At the camp-site itself you will find a play-ground, swimming-pools and ping-pong tables. We also often arrange activities ourselves for our guests. We can provide you with information about the surroundings of the camp-site. Therefore we have already created several nice trips by car or on foot for you. As you see this can be the beginning of an unforgettable holiday. We see it as our duty to make you feel comfortable during your holiday.

Nearby activities in Auvergne

The camp-site is situated within two Nature Reserves, namely the “Park des Vulcan’s d’Auvergne” and the “Park Natural Regional Livradois Forest”. The “Park des Vulcans“, is the most famous due to the “Puy de Dome” known for the Tour de France. In this unique area with its almost 80 volcanoes, you will see craters, brooks, lakes, rivers and splendid views, Romanesque villages and many castles. This area is unique and you can take a lot of beautiful walks (± 600 miles of walks). It really is an Eldora do for the lovers of nature. You would be forgiven for thinking that the Auvergne region of France is tucked away in a corner of the country, quietly going about its business. But, quite the opposite is true. In fact it is hard to miss, right there in the middle of the country, a region which many British holiday makers will have travelled through on their way to the south coast without even realising it. So, why go there? The answer is obvious. The Auvergne is one of the most naturally beautiful parts of France with a great variety of landscapes, demonstrated by the contrast between the dramatic volcanic uplands of the Puy de Dome and Cantal departments and the vast plains of the Allier river in the north. Summer This is obviously the most popular season with holidaymakers and as such is the busiest time of the year. Despite the increased numbers it is still easy to get about, although parking at some of the more popular sites can be more difficult – but you must have a car. With the summer foliage in full bloom the area plays host to a variety of tourists, not only the enthusiastic rambler or cyclist but also lovers of many other outdoor activities such as rock climbing, hang gliding, horse riding, fishing…the list is seemingly endless. Of course these activities are not limited to the summer alone and many outdoor pursuit enthusiasts prefer to visit in the spring or autumn when the climate is more suited to their sport, it is less crowded and the scenery is none the less stunning

1) Reservation. Your reservation will only be confirmed when the management of the camp-site receives your deposit. The reservation will remain valid for 24 hours after your given time of arrival, after this time your right to reservation will lapse. Only reservations made with deposits are accepted. 2) Deposit. Send a postcheque of 25% of the amount in the name of camp-site ” Le Clos Auroy ” And include this cheque with your reservation-form. Any deposit made goes towards the cost of your stay less reservation fee. Pay by internationaal banking (attention of the time this can take) Or by creditcard. For one-night reservations, you pay the full amount upon booking. The campsite will not refund this amount if you cancel, so we strongly recommend taking out cancellation insurance. 3) Cancellation guarantee. Le Clos Auroy campsite offers you the possibility of taking out Cancellation and Interruption insurance when making the reservation. “See here” Our partner NEAT undertakes to reimburse all or part of the stay to our holidaymakers. In the event of cancellation, notify the campsite of your withdrawal upon the occurrence of an event preventing your departure by mail or email. If the loss is provided for in the general conditions, notify the insurer within 48 hours and provide all the necessary information and supporting documents. It is strongly recommended to subscribe to a cancellation guarantee at the time of booking, or with your insurance company. 4) Cancellation without insurance. the deposit will not be returned by the campsite. 5) Arrival – Departure. Your reserved pitch is freely accessible from 14 o’clock and has to be cleared before 11 o’clock on the day of departure. 6) Payment. The whole amount of your stay minus your deposit is due to be paid upon your arrival. 7) Electricity. It is forbidden to recharge your electric car at the campsite. Various reception points are available nearby. 8) Guests and supplements must be declared and paid at reception. 9) Everyone must comply with the internal rules of the campsite. The rules of procedure are displayed at reception. Entering or leaving the campsite is prohibited for vehicles from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. 10) Invoice. The balance of the stay is to be paid on arrival. Be careful that once the invoice is done nothing can change afterwards. 11) Any item forgotten on site will be sent to you at your request against a minimum sum of € 20. 12) Possible payments on site are: by credit card and cash.

13) Disputes. In the event of any problems between the two parties, only the court of Clermont Ferrand is authorized to rule.

14) If you take an option over a given period, it remains valid for 5 (working) days until receipt of your deposit. Booking conditions for a rental at Le Clos Auroy campsite

1. Reservation: The reservation only becomes effective with our agreement and after receipt of your deposit and the reservation fee. 2. Reservation of accommodation: A) Accommodation is rented from 4 p.m. on the day of arrival until 10 a.m. on the day of departure. Stays must be carried out from Saturday to Saturday (except off season and for Ecolodges or premium mobil homes). B) A deposit of 25% of the total price of the stay (excluding tourist tax) is requested when booking. The balance of the stay must be paid 1 month before the date of arrival. If your payment does not reach us within this period, your reservation will be canceled and the deposit not refunded without notice. C) In any case, the number of tenants can not be exceeded D) Animals, additional tents are strictly prohibited .E) A deposit of 300 euros will be requested upon arrival. It guarantees the loss, breakage or degradation of equipment and the cleanliness of the premises. It will be returned to you on departure after leaving the inventory, less any damage observed. The final cleaning is provided by you.
